This Joshua Tree Elopement was the perfect blend of bohemian and casual, just like Aubrey + Jared themselves. They exchanged vows alone in the quietness of the infamous Californian National Park - “just the two of us, like a little secret we get to keep for the rest of our lives.” Captured by Forever Photography, the two began in a cute little air bnb before running around the park and kissing under the fading pink sky. We fell in love with the sweet moments shared between them (we couldn’t help but smile the whole time).
Tell us about your proposal!
Jay and I met at a restaurant we were both working at, one day he demanded we go back for dinner. I walked into the courtyard and saw all my friends and family, completely shocked I turned around to Jay on one knee. He completely took my breath away, having everyone I love there to witness it was beyond perfect!
What do you love most about him?
I love how he immediately brightens a room. The moment he walks in people start smiling and laughing. He lifts everyone around him up without trying to, and without bearing any of their weight on himself. He is effortlessly sweet and caring and makes everything better.
What was your favourite part of the wedding day?
My favourite part of our wedding day was reading my vows to Jay, in our favorite park, just us two (and our photographers). It was perfect, like a little secret we get to keep the rest of our lives. The words we exchanged through tears to one another will always stay between just us two. Something about that is just so romantic to me.
What is marriage to you?
Marriage to me is just the icing on the cake in this wonderful, crazy, huge adventure that is Jay and I’s love. From the beginning we have always pushed one another to do something new or go somewhere new, constantly expanding each others horizons. We made each others worlds bigger the moment we connected. I can truly say we never have a dull moment, just thinking about it gives me butterflies of excitement! I know were going to have so much fun with life, and the fact that I get to do it all with my best friend is just too much to handle.
