St Mark’s Church of England was built on the site in Spring Hill in the 1890s. It was used as a school house as well as a church. In 1958, the church was deconsecrated and has since been privately owned.
It is now open to the public again as part as the Spring Hill Peony Farm for day time weddings and events.
As well as the Church, there is a pavilion with  large deck and outdoor fire place on the property which can be used for the reception. You can organise everything yourselves with a few hints of local knowledge from us or have a complete event planned for you. The ideal number of guests is 40 to 80 guests.

Spring Hill has all the seasons, a view over the region, sunsets and peace and quiet and in Spring, as many Peonies as you can wish for.

  • Where did your passion for what you do start? Organising my own wedding and finding it hard to find a venue that was unique and a blank canvas to add my own touches. The Little Church is the venue I always wanted where you can have the Ceremony and the Reception in the same place. There are so many places for photos as well so you don't need to leave your guests during the reception.
  • What do you love most about what you do? Making the bride and groom happy. They are so delighted when they discover our property and look around, they can visualise themselves getting married. I just try to make it happen for them.
  • What gets you out of bed in the morning? At the moment, its the frosty mornings. I grab my camera and take photos in my PJs and Gumboots before it melts. Normally its my kids that get me out of bed early.
  • What is your advice for a healthy, long lasting relationship? Letting each other be themselves and loving that about them. have your own life as well as the life you share. Give each other space to grow and learn and then come back together and tell each other stories.
Have fun together, just you two.
