Samuel Jacob Photography

Hello! I\\\’m Samuel Jacob

I am based in Newcastle, Australia but will use any excuse to travel anywhere and everywhere.

I am passionate about capturing moments full of raw emotion and I do that by making sure my clients feel super safe & comfortable to just be themselves on the day, whatever that may look like.

My aim isn’t to create moments artificially, but to capture the moments that are happening around me in the best way possible.

Brides & grooms are often overwhelmed
when choosing a wedding photographer.

I get it! You want great looking images for right now, as well as
moments that will last a lifetime.
My creative expression has an edge that
will hold the test of time, because raw emotion doesn’t have an expiry date.
When you include Samueljacob Photography in your wedding day you have peace
of mind that your photographer cares about the images as much as you do.

Even more, someone who wants you to be as comfortable & relaxed on the day as
possible. How important is it that the moment itself is enjoyed atleast as much
as the memory of the moment? My aim is to document your wedding in such
a way that it expresses the unique
, intimate relationship that you share
with your partner, as well as the significance of the amazing commitment
that you are both making together.
After your wedding, the excitement will
continue in anticipation
to receive photographs that have truly absorbed
emotionally rich moments of your wedding day.”

  • What do you love most about what you do? I love being apart of a couples most important day for a living. To be involved in something so rich, exciting and significant is a true blessing.
  • What gets you out of bed in the morning? I have new ideas!
  • Where did your passion for what you do start? Honestly, I think it started all the way back with disposable camera's as a kid on holidays. I would spend half my holiday looking through the camera wanting to capture the scenery the best I could.
  • What is your advice for a healthy, long lasting relationship? Make your choice & choose to love your choice, everyday. When you give up your life for the sake of someone else's happiness, then you will find it.
  • The most romantic movie of all time is... The first scene of UP! It's so sad, but it always reminds me again how important Anna is in my life, so I guess I could call it romantic.
  • What is your best advice to couples planning their wedding? Choose the vendors you love, organise what you need to, then let the day happen. Don't micro-plan or pre-imagine each moment. Go with it and embrace the un-expected that happens throughout your day. That's where the magic is.
  • The most romantic location in Australia is... Perth is a hidden gem of Australia! Cottesloe beach is phenomenal .
