I am a fun, relaxed lifestyle photographer. I love documenting couples stories and lives. I’m all about real, happy, emotional moments. The small, unnoticed, important details and quirks.

A wedding should be about love, family, friends and most importantly each other. I love weddings that embrace the simple and relaxed side of things. In the middle of a paddock, in your families backyard, places that are stunning just on their own.

I’m a fairly relaxed person, I like to taking things how they come, and I like to approach wedding days the same, I work with each wedding to delivery what they need to things fun and relaxed and on time. Often I spend time hanging out with the bridal party before the wedding, playing games or having a laugh, because I want to connect to every couple and and pour every bit of me into the photos I take on your day.

  • What do you love about what you do? I love documenting happiness. Not the posed smiles at the camera. The joy you have for one another, the laughter we share while we explore and have fun during portraits, the tears you shed as you see each over down the aisle. The moment that you don't think other see. I love that I can quietly witness and capture that.
  • Where did your passion for what you do start? I have always been a creative person. I started out wanting to get into graphic design, but I never felt truly happy. It was on my honeymoon taking photos around NZ that I realised that photography made me feel happy, and happiness was one of the things in my life that I knew that would keep me ok, even in the hard times. I decided I wanted my life to be about being happy, sharing happiness, and help people feel happy.

Through photography, I have had the chance to meet so many different people and share a little of myself with them, and that is awesome.
  • What is your advice for a healthy, long lasting relationship? Friendship. Communication is up there, you need to be able to talk to each other. But for me friendship is so important. I am best friends with my husband, I love hanging out and doing fun things friends would. I like having inside jokes, and that we like the same things. It also means we can have alone time with out feeling neglected or forgotten. Being friends with the one you love make everyday awesome.
  • Dogs or Cats? Dogs. I grew up with dogs, and they always loved you no matter what. My family dog Ellie was there for me when I was sad and made me feel ok.

Now I have my own dog and his name is Oakey. Every morning I wake up, and am greeted with love and kisses and a wagging tail. He is smart and I get to spend time teaching him neat tricks. He lays near me while I edit photos, he comes swimming with us and he gives me more confidence to get out and meet new people at the dog park while he runs around like crazy playing with all the other dogs.

    He is the best!
