The meaning in the images I capture comes from the heart and the realness of them. That’s the story I want to tell.

I’ve recently redesigned my logo ( and will be popping up a new website super soon, yay!) and it was important for me to include the line ‘ I carry your heart’. To some it’s a bit of an odd inclusion, but for me, it represents two things. It represents the fact that that person that you love, loves you back and that this is the centre of your wedding day. It’s about a marriage, about the two of you, not about the colour of the table dressings. This is the heart of your day and your marriage. Number two, is that, I essentially have a little bit of that heart in my hands. I am entrusted with capturing this, the most special day of your life to this point. It’s amazing and a responsibility I don’t take lightly. I want you to know that. I’m actually honoured to have people choose me.

My approach is simple. I meet you and if you love me and I love you, you get married and I capture it. The way I capture it, is with a view to preserving memories for the future. I want to get all the bits, the faces, the silliness, the tears the laughter, that maybe you didn’t see. I want to capture the way you looked at each other when you said your vows, or the way you didn’t let go of each other the whole time you were being congratulated, the way your dad smiled or ‘had something in his eye’ as he walked you down the aisle. These small moments become big moments in the future. Those kisses with grandma become important, her wrinkled hand on yours, that’s important. These are the memories I want to make.

There is another side though. I do love to create art. I want there to be a real balance of candid-ness, light, direction and an artistic outcome. So I love to take you away at sunset for some time alone, and soak up the fact that you are married. I love to make this time as real and candid as possible, but also I do like to create some bits in there that have more of an artistic perspective. This includes playing with shadows and light, and just making something that is truly romantic also seem beautifully artistic. That’s my goal.

As a side note I am  based in Adelaide S.A. but I would literally travel anywhere. I love travel as much as I love weddings, so the idea of combining the two is just heaven. If you can get married there, I’d shoot it. x

  • What do you love most about what you do? I actually really love the fact that I get to capture moments that sit as memories, forever. That's pretty freaking special. It's amazing to share a day with a loved up beautiful couple, but it's also equally rewarding speaking to their families and friends and hearing more stories about them and then feeling like you're part of all of it. Being embraced by what are essentially strangers is truly wonderful. It allows me to get moments that are candid and I feel, impactful and that will not only be felt by the couple but also by that wider comity of loved ones that support them.
  • What gets you out of bed in the morning? Coffee. Only after I have been woken by three kids, two retrievers and a cat. Oh and a partridge in a pear tree (often feels like that!)
  • Where did your passion for what you do start? Travel and a need to photograph that started my passion. I studied photography when I got home from being in the UK for 4 years. I loved it and spent almost every spare moment in the dark room.

My wedding photography only began a bit down the road after I did a little bit of family photography and someone I knew asked me to shoot their wedding. It scared the pants off me, but then there was another enquiry and another and my love of it grew exponentially. Now I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Saturday.
  • What is your advice for a healthy, long lasting relationship? Listening and being compassionate to your partner.
  • What is your best advice to couples planning their wedding? I could go on for hours here, but the crux of it is true to yourselves.

There is no better wedding than one that encompasses your loves, whether this be wine, food, crazy fashion, whatever that it that makes you happy do that.

If you love tradition, embrace it. If you hate tradition, then ditch it, elope under a tree. It's your day. It hunk you have to remember that as there is so much 'advice'. Simply work out the two of your together, what you want before telling anyone else and stand firm. It makes the day so much more relaxed, the more you it is, the happier and relaxed you will be.
  • The most romantic movie of all time is... Oh gosh, I think I stopped watching romantic movies cause the good ones always make me cry too much (I cry at weddings often, but always behind my camera!).
  • My favourite dance floor jam is... Antything that gets the punters moving, I can be easily persuaded to listen to any genre. If everyone is dancing, it's a good song. The DJ has a lot to do with that.
  • The most romantic location in Australia is... So many!! I love Byron, we had our honeymoon there. But think the resort on Kangaroo Island would be fabulous, as would a treehouse in the Daintree, as I said, too many!
  • If you were an animal, which would best describe you? As much as I want to say a dog, I'm probably more like a cat.
  • In my spare time I love collecting... sleeeeep
