Lizunova Fine Jewels

We’re small, we’re ethical and we care deeply about creating jewellery pieces that evoke real emotion and real connection.

Whether we’re creating engagement, wedding or commitment rings, our aim is to create beautiful and unforgettable pieces, that mean something to you. A piece of jewellery that represents who you are and tells your unique relationship story.

Our brand is independent and was founded in 2012 by designer Maria Lizunova, who started her jewellery practice some 15 years ago while still pursuing a career in graphic design. In 2015, Maria opened our brand’s first store in Sydney’s Potts Point, and in late 2017 we relocated our store to the iconic Chifley Plaza in Sydney’s CBD. Our brand is design-focused and we’re passionately committed to ethical, local manufacturing, with all our jewellery made in Australia out of Australian gold, silver and platinum.

Beside our collections, we create bespoke and custom made jewellery pieces, for both men and women. We love working closely with couples on creating their special forever pieces – an expression of their unique story. We custom source and hand-pick exceptional gemstones, based on their beauty, rarity and quality, and only use top quality, GIA-certified diamonds.

We would be honoured to become a part of your story via the rings we make for you.

  • What do you love most about what you do? Gemstones, without a doubt, are my great obsession. Each one is a unique treasure from Mother Earth. It's mind boggling to be able to hold a gem that took millions of years to form inside the Earth.
  • Where did your passion for what you do start? I was a little magpie growing up, always playing with sparkly things and rummaging through my Mother's jewellery. I was fascinated by minerals from an early age, and spent many an hour poring over the Gems and Minerals tome of my Children's Encyclopaedia. Russia, where I was born and grew up, holds incredible natural beauty, as well as man-made beauty – architecture, art and the Tsars' jewels and objects, which I was exposed to very early in life by my beloved late Mother. These influences combined with years of travel and obsession with design, art and architecture honed my passion and aesthetic.
  • What is your advice for a healthy, long lasting relationship? Listening to each other with open mind and open heart, and being open to changing and growing. Mutual respect – and love, of course.
  • What is your best advice to couples planning their wedding? Don't worry about what others want! It's your day, make it memorable and enjoyable for you.
