Perth Fine Art Wedding Photographer

Hi, I’m Jonathan and I’m a fine art wedding photographer based in Perth, Western Australia.

The day I married my best friend and getting to celebrate it with our closest friends and family is a memory that I will cherish forever. Till this day, we still take out our wedding album every now and then to remind us of that day, and more importantly, to remember the commitment we had made to each other.

3 words come to mind when I think of the word “wedding”.

Celebration. Marriage. Love.

A wedding is a celebration marking the beginning of a marriage. But the most important thing is love. Without love there can be no successful marriage, and without a successful marriage a wedding means nothing. My job is to document those in between moments during your celebration, to translate that into a tangible form where you can not only pass it down to future generations, but also to reflect back in tougher times to remind you of the vows that you’ve made to each other.

While I specialise in wedding photography (that includes destination weddings too), I also love shooting engagements and lifestyle portraiture as well.

If you like what you see, please get in touch with me here. It would be my honour to document your story.

  • What do you love most about what you do? I love to document those in between moments during the wedding celebration, to translate that into a tangible form where the couple can not only pass it down to future generations, but also to reflect back in tougher times to remind them of the vows that they've made to each other.
  • What is your advice for a healthy, long lasting relationship? Honesty and communication. No secret ingredient there. Oh and to recognise and make peace with the fact that both sides are just flawed human beings, and to accept and love each other despite our failings.
  • What is your best advice to couples planning their wedding? It's great and fun planning the details of the day and all, but don't forget to spend some time with each other, and also keep in mind that the wedding day is just the start (and a very tiny part) of the longer journey of marriage together.
