Shoot me an email and let’s meet up! What is your best advice to couples planning their wedding? The light on your wedding day might be the last thing you’re thinking about right now, but it's going to affect more than the photographs. If you don’t want the sun to be beaming straight into your eyes as you try to exchange vows with big dark shadows under your eyes from the direct sun, then you need to think about where the light is coming from during the ceremony, especially if it is outdoors. My advice is to find a nice shady spot for your ceremony which will allow for even light on you and your bridal party. If that isn’t possible, try to have the sun behind the officiant. Try to push as close to sunset as possible, especially during the summer. Having a wedding ceremony at 3pm in summertime will generally mean sweaty guests, a lot of squinting eyes, and daylight dance party. Don’t be afraid to start later into the day. What do you love most about what you do? It's amazing to have been given the luck to be invited to people's private homes, backyards and countrysides to document their stories. I really don't have the words to explain how much I value it and how happy it makes me.
