Young Love Lives Longer

Inspired by the gorgeous New Zealand country side, ‘Young Love Lives Longer’ is a styled shoot about a gorgeous young couple who elope out on a station farm in the middle of nowhere by their local town in the South island of New Zealand with just immediate family attending.

“I get a lot of inspiration from music and I’ve had the vision of ‘Cool Nights’ by Paul Davis playing in my head so when I saw the fireplace and stone lodge at Mt Nicholas Station I knew it was perfect. I love elopements and intimate weddings at exotic locations so Mt Nic, a remote working cattle farm was the perfect fit.” Photographer Kate from Kate Drennan Photography captured the Winterish vibes to perfection: The dark, dreamy hut location filled with deep reds and creams, lit by the glow of the fire.

To set the scene, the bride’s romantic morning boudoir shoot saw her wearing a beautiful lace bodysuit, wrapped in a fur coat just perfect for the freezing New Zealand weather.

The two youngsters later walked hand in hand through the dark woods and back to the stone lodge which had transformed into a beautiful table setting; decorations to a tee. Red wine, dark feathers and brass ware candles worked to create the perfect setting for the winter lovers.
