Wild Coastal Engagement | Oregon

4

This sweet engagement session on the Oregon Coast has us in love with the wildness and intimacy of this love story! McKenna and Terrance drove all the way up from Utah to a beach that was special to them, and Karra Leigh Photography beautifully captured their love. We asked McKenna about their love story:

What have been the most exciting parts of planning your wedding?

Planning a wedding is such a creative process. It’s been an absolute blast working together on our special day and finding ways to make it unique. We aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty to make it special. I’ve looked forward to my wedding my whole life, and now that the time has come for me to plan the momentous day with my best friend, it’s just been so much fun!

How do you think marriage will change your relationship?

Marriage will provide us an opportunity to be even more selfless and really serve each other. Terran and I have been dating for three years, but we are both very adventurous, and about a third of that time was spent apart due to traveling and living in different parts of the country. I am so excited for him to be my husband because we will be able to share all of the many adventures in our future side-by-side.

What do you most look forward to about your wedding?

We are so excited to celebrate our love with the people we love! We are planning to have our wedding in an old building downtown that we will likely be fixing up ourselves, and one of our best friends is making my wedding dress! A lot of our friends and family are going to be involved along the way and it’s exciting that the wedding is bringing everyone together.

What are the most important things that will create a long lasting and loving marriage?

Honesty and an equal partnership. Marriage is a union between two best friends! It’s important to always be open and honest with each other and continually find ways to have fun together.

What’s the best relationship advice anyone has given you?

“Happiness in marriage is not so much a matter of romance as it is an anxious concern for the comfort and well-being of your companion.” I know there will be hard times, but it’s genuine love, in the form of respect and concern, that will keep the relationship strong!
