Tillee Music

1

A little interview with the creator of Tillee Music has given us an insight into what the business is all about, and where it started from. Tillee Music offers several music duo’s to choose from, and with over fifteen years experience performing at weddings and corporate functions, they have a great rep!

What was your inspiration for the business?

It really started out as a hobby. I loved to sing and played at a few weddings years ago. It wasn’t until l realised how much I enjoyed the whole process of planning, performing and getting to know the folks I was singing for that I decided to set up Tillee Music as a business.

How did you go about starting up?

Id love to say it all just happened but that was definitely not the case. I got around creative people that inspired me and also believed in what I wanted to do. Then I went about doing it, I stayed focused and made sure I constantly enjoyed the journey.

What are you offering that is different from the rest?

We aren’t out to be the biggest and the busiest in the game. We offer a few insanely talented Duo’s, all mastering their own style beautifully – and let our couples decide which of them would best suit their Wedding or event.

What do you love about your job?

Definitely singing! But outside of that I adore the people I come across, both couples and industry folk. I love hearing about our couples and how they met or hearing how suppliers got their businesses up and running. I think these are the elements that fuel what I love so much.

What does marriage mean to you?

Marriage means partnership, in whatever form that might take. It means putting someone else’s needs next to your own, and knowing that the other person will always do the same. Marriage is realising that even though they’ve seen you at your very worst, they will never love you any less. It means to love and to fight, and yet have absolute certainty at the end of every single day your greatest love is right beside you, no matter what.

Tell us about your favourite experience as a business owner?

My favourite experience would have to be hearing our couples come back to me after their wedding with glowing reviews. Its when this happens, that I remember why I love what I do, so much.

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone just starting out in the industry?

Take risks, be true to who you are. If you fall over, dust yourself off and have another go!
