The Santorini Dress

0

This stunning bridal portrait session in Megalochori, on the wanderlust-inspiring island of Santorini has left us dreaming of pretty, patterned, laced dresses, and European travel.

Inspired by the Geometric Period, we are swept up in the calm repetition of shapes, lines and colour, and transfixed by the wearer of the dress as she becomes one with her environment.

With more of an editorial feel in mind, this shoot explores simplified and stylised depictions of angles and patterns through the human figure, representative of the influence during the inspiration period - whereby Greek Art began to distinguish itself from earlier styles of art.

Irina Rott Photography and assisting vendors have definitely created a shoot with every raw, beautiful element working together seamlessly.
