The Proposal

4

It’s not often you see that special moment when she says ‘yes’ caught on film and we are so lucky to have talented photographer Paul Bamford share his very special proposal story with white. On Sunday 9 June 2013, with his awesome Dad (also a photographer) hiding behind a tree, this unforgettable moment in Paul and his now finacee’s lives was captured forever…

We had a chat to Paul, who gave us the juicy details of his perfect proposal:

‘On Sunday I proposed to my girlfriend, Chloe. She started suspecting it was coming at the end of June (her uni holidays) so I thought I’d surprise her and do it earlier than expected. She had no idea what was happening, even as we walked up to the scene. I’m a photographer so I really wanted some great photos of the moment I proposed. Luckily my dad is also a photographer so he came down and hid behind a tree.

Chloe’s friends (and future bridesmaids) set up and a picnic scene in a local park. I had the bunting handmade using vintage material by a vendor I found at the local markets. There were even cupcakes with hearts and our initials. My best friend Michael Eotvos is a musician so he was playing guitar for us.

Chloe was so shocked that I did it that day, she really wasn’t expecting it. The emotion you can see on her face in the images really capture what it was like. She was crying and screaming and so surprised. Our families were waiting nearby ready to crash the party just after I asked her. Having both our families there to celebrate straight away was very special, we all stayed and had a great afternoon tea (and lots of Moët!).’

All together now – sigh…x
