Aimee + Chris hosted their celebration at one of Australia’s newer wedding venues, Sittella Winery. Located, in the heart of the Swan Valley wine-growing region, this sweet vineyard wedding was the perfect mix of simple and elegant. Tell us about your proposal. I had been waiting for this day for a long time … we were high school sweethearts and had been together for 9 years. Chris finally proposed in Paris on love Lock Bridge back in January 2016 (very cliché) but it really is the city of love :)
How did you know your partner was the one? I Met Chris in Year 10 at high school and knew from that moment.
What do you love most about your partner? I love his big cheesy smile & he has a heart of gold!
What was your favourite part of the wedding day? My favorite part of the wedding was having my mum as the celebrant & being surrounded by all our friends and family.
Describe your wedding theme/style. My style was simple but elegant, we had white chairs with white table clothes, crystal cut vases with beautiful florals. Our venue didn’t need much decorating as it really does speak for itself.
What is marriage to you? Marriage to me is building a life and a family with my best friend, through all its ups and downs it is so much better than it ever was without him. It is becoming a team and knowing that there is someone that loves me, unconditionally
