Secelia + Keith: Intimate engagement

Anyone who ever came into contact with Keith always knew that he would be the one to sweep Secelia right off her feet. And they were right! With Secelia + Keith set to wed in the near future, nobody is more excited than the loving couple themselves.

See their intimate and homely engagement shoot below, with photographs by the talented Jordan Voth.

What have been the most exciting parts of planning your wedding?

Spending more time with family and friends and injecting silly parts of our personalities into the little details of the wedding.

How do you think marriage will change your relationship?

Keith will wear a piece of jewellery for the first time in his life (apart from when he tried to home pierce his ears at age 18).

What do you most look forward to about your wedding?

Exchanging our personal vows and the Whitney Houston tribute dance party shortly thereafter. Also: taco truck. Unlimited tacos. It’s genius.

What are the most important things that will create a long lasting and loving marriage?

Never take yourselves too seriously and always support each other’s goals.

Who are the vendors that you are working with for your wedding day?

Jordon Voth, Grace & Blooms, The Dress Theory, Eventful Moments, Rancho Bravo Taco Truck, Seattle Farm Tables, Cort Party Rentals, Prive Events.

Who have been your favourite wedding dress designers?

Absolutely anything The Dress Theory carries. I’m partial to Rue de Seine, though.

What special ways do you express your love to each other?

We support each other’s football teams even though they’re arch enemies, we try to say ‘yes’ to things more than ‘no,’ we walk the dog when the other person just doesn’t feel like it, and we are always, always trying to make each other laugh.

What are your favourite ways to spend time together?

Walking our pug, Frida Kahlo, traveling to places we’ve both never been before, reading in bed, waking up early for an exercise class, walking down the street to see a movie, indulging in a fancy dinner every once in a while, just sitting on the couch together.

What’s your relationship advice for couples planning their big day?

Stop thinking about what everyone else is doing and do what truly embodies you and your spouse.

What’s the best relationship advice anyone has given you?

“You should marry Keith” – everyone that’s ever met him.
