Samantha + James: An Enchanted Wedding

Samantha and James’ love story started out with a whole lot of distance between them, 200km’s apart to be exact, but the couple’s relationship grew to be closer and deeper as time went on. Samantha knew she was in love when she realised, “We just seemed to be together more than apart as the years went on until I couldn’t imagine life without him.” James surprised his love with first, tickets to Fiji and then whilst on the trip, right in the moment between entree and main popped the question to Samantha. After eight years together, the smitten couple worked towards planning their wedding, to be a reflection of both their personalities in a fun and festive way.

The celebration took place in picture perfect countryside, the two marrying under a fantastic floral arbour with overflowing greenery arrangements and native pink flowers reflective of Samantha’s bouquet.

Samantha rocked a beautiful, guipure lace bodice gown with and a soft fascinator for the day, whilst James wore a tailored grey sports jacket and a quirky-fun bow tie. The two were a pair of smiles as they embraced the day in every way, including, “dancing the entire night right up until our last song by The Four Seasons, December 1963 (Oh what a night)!” They even brought a pinata for celebratory jollification, as well as their baby – Baxter Bunny to be with them on their special weekend.

Samantha and James look back at their wedding and consider it to have been “relaxed, good fun, rustic and enchanted.” Obviously a day neither of them will forget, with thanks to their photographer, Ben Howland. Their one piece of advice to future couples getting married? “Never lose sight of the reason you’re getting married, it’s easy to get caught up in it all. At the end of the day nothing should change except you can now call your partner your wife or husband! Have a blast and enjoy the day!”
