HOW WE MET …
Sam and I both grew up in Melbourne but by chance we met out one night in Byron Bay on the East Coast of Australia. We were both up there celebrating with friends after finishing school and found we had so much in common. I instantly felt a strong connection, and fell for his charismatic smile and sparking blue eyes—love at first sight! We both have the same values, positive outlook on life and sense of adventure. Sam is an incredibly caring, thoughtful and driven person. He’s also such a romantic! We bring out the best in each other.
THE PROPOSAL
We spent the day at One Fire Beach in Positano, soaking up the sun, swimming in the sea and relaxing in one of our favourite parts of the world. Sam had organised a private rooftop dinner overlooking the Amalfi Coast at luxury boutique hotel Casa Angelina. The whole day he was so calm and I had no idea what he had planned. When we returned to our room to get ready, the sun was setting faster than Sam had anticipated. I still had no idea what was going on, as he is such a romantic and loves surprising me. Wearing simple sandals with salty beach hair, Sam led me up to the rooftop where we ordered a cocktail, and then we were alone. I remember being in awe of the view and facing the infinite water. When I turned around, he was on one knee holding a stunning ceylon sapphire ring, saying how much he loved me. I couldn’t stop crying and was taken by complete surprise! It was the most perfect moment, where time simply faded away.
THE DAY …
Inspired by the captivating beauty of the Amalfi Coast, we chose a black tie wedding with minimalist, all white decorations and greenery. Our guests arrived by private boat to One Fire Beach where they made their way up to an intimate cliffside garden for an afternoon ceremony in
the sunshine. Our wedding dinner was under the stars on the same rooftop where Sam proposed, Un Piano Nel Cielo, between sky and sea. We felt so incredibly lucky to celebrate our wedding with our closest family and friends, in a place that was so special to us and held so much
meaning. All that we wished for was for them to experience the same Positano magic that had stolen our hearts.

My soul mate, my partner in crime, my rock, my one and only, my one true love. I could not imagine life without you by my side. Each and every moment with you is so special and I’m so happy to wake up next to you as man and wife. You are always so thoughtful, caring, loving, romantic, supportive and you make me smile, laugh and live each and every moment to the full. I’m so excited to see what the future holds.
