Real Wedding: Emmeline + Rob

7

Emmeline and Rob were swept away in a breathtaking ocean ceremony, captured by Aimee Catt.  We let the bride take over for this post, so read on to learn more from the lovely lady herself.

Proposal
We were on a holiday in Queenstown. Rob knew he wanted to propose but didn’t know where or when. He carried the ring on him every day while we were away. We even went snowboarding and bungy jumping, and I had no idea! We were walking around Queenstown Gardens and it started snowing in town for the first time while we were there. Rob got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was beautiful.

Unique and amazing wedding details
The most amazing thing about our wedding was that it truly exemplified our relationship and contained the things we hold most dear. We made the day a relaxing experience that we shared with our immediate family, and we were not cornered by traditions that said we “had to do this, or do that”. We did it our way and because of that, we had a stress free, seamless wedding. We woke up that day to the smell of the sea, enjoyed a day of celebration where all of our family helped us to get ready, said our heartfelt vows in front of the people that mean the most to us, and ended the day sharing a meal with our loved ones, looking over the ocean, toasting to our future together. The following day we flew to Mexico for our honeymoon and after two weeks of soaking up the sunshine and revelling in each other’s company, we flew home and celebrated our marriage with over one hundred of our close friends and family.
