Philippa and Anurag: Twice happy

98

Surely wondrous things never come in pairs, that would be like lightening striking the same spot twice. And yet Philippa and Anurag have experienced this rare double phenomenon; a type of lightening has indeed struck twice.

A few months ago we had the privilege of showcasing their first wedding; a stunning and elegant affair expertly captured by Hilary Cam Photography. And while in life, both events were just a day apart, it’s only now we’ve had the green light to showcase their second wedding. Such an honour.

On this particular day, it’s unlikely Bendooley Estate, Berrima, knew what had descended upon it. Vibrant colour, more hypnotising than the combined plumages of peacocks, flamingos and parrots coursed through the grounds with the infectious energy of a parade. Philippa and Anurag’s Hindu wedding was spectacular to behold. Not a smile in the crowd faded from when the Baraat ceremony began (a wedding procession where the groom travels to the bride’s house accompanied by his family and friends, with music, dancing and singing) ending in a cool dance-off to Gangnam Style, through to the mesmerising Hindu ceremony and the eventual dance fest at the end of the night.

And ever the inconspicuous watchful eye, Hilary Cam Photography was there immortalising the night with imagery powerful enough to give us goosebumps.
