Moody Romantic Wedding

Smoke bombs, a custom two-piece gown and a gorgeous ceremony floral installation – we’re in love with Jasmin and Adrian’s wedding day! They said I do in Cairns on an autumn day, complete with rich berry tones throughout the day. With an eco-wedding in mind, they chose decor that they could reuse in their own home afterwards, and hold onto those special pieces forever. We chatted with the bride:

What was your favourite part of the wedding day?

I loved seeing how happy Adrian was all day – for somebody who has never been too keen on getting married, you could just see the joy in his face. I knew it was a winner when he said “I don’t know what we waited so long for!” For me personally, walking down the aisle was just one big emotion, the realisation that every person was there because they wanted to share this special day with us. The speeches were definitely another highlight and had us in stitches of laughter and tears of joy! It was so nice to listen to our closest friends and family speak so highly about us and our relationship. And the cake, of course!

What was your favourite detail?

We love exploring new things and places, so instead of a guestbook, we had a Bucket List. Our guests each filled out a page to go into our ultimate lifelong bucket list. There were so many amazing ideas and plans left for us, each so personal to the person who had written it (there was even a surprise pregnancy announcement left in it!). We now have a long list to get through and will sure have a lifetime of amazing memories in the process!

What is marriage to you?

Marriage is an adventure. It is having someone that can calm you in any storm that life may throw. Having someone to laugh with on even the dullest of days. And having someone that you are glad to share every great experience and memory with for the rest of your life.
