Nestled away in Byron Bay, Matilda and William began their journey of life as husband and wife just as they had envisioned. A tropical bliss was created by the bride and groom themselves on Matilda’s family property of over five generations. Getting ready in her old bedroom, Matilda looked over the manicured grounds she grew up on as she got ready to marry the man of her dreams, a day she had dreamed about in that very place. The outdoor wedding setting oozed with beautiful florals, greenery and an array of love throughout. This special day did not only bring the life of Matilda and William together but bought two cultures and families together as one as each side welcomed the other with open arms. An abundance of magical moments were created as they made ever lasting memories of true happiness celebrating the marriage of two people they loved dearly. “We were lucky to have some of Will’s friends/family perform a traditional Cook Islands drum dance for our guests. Some of his groomsman played the drums and at the end they invited guests up to the dance floor to teach them how to dance! It felt like two cultures coming together” This complete DIY wedding saw Matilda and William into a new found love and business venture with the launch of their wedding hire company “Tilly & I”.
