Marshall and Mellow marshmallow recipe


You may have come across this little surprise marshmallow recipe in the issue 23 of white. This has been created by the brilliant and creative Maddison Davies.

We’re in the perfect season for a little outdoor fire-pit snuggle. Grab your loved one, makes some squishy marshmellows together from this great recipe and cook them by the fire… with some chocolate… or in some hot chocolate… whatever… as long as there is some chocolate involved.


A super simple marshmallow recipe


  • 4 Teaspoons of gelatine
  • 1/2 Cup of cold water
  • 1/2 Cup of hot water
  • 1 1/2 Cups of caster sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Essence


First, add the gelatine to the hot water and stir until dissolved. Second, combine caster sugar, cold water and vanilla essence. Then blend using an electric mixer for 5 minutes. Third, combine both the gelatine and caster sugar mixtures together until a thick consistency is achieved. Finally pour the mixture into a tray and allow to set. Once the mixture is firm, cut and dust marshmallows in icing sugar.

Now get busy eating!
