Jenna + Winston: A bit of country

3

Deep in the fields of Tooraweenah, snuggled up to a lone tree, Jenna and Winston swapped their vows. Madeline Druce Photography captured their love and fun in this stunning countryside setting. Read on to learn more about this delightful couple and their special day.

The proposal
We had been dating for six years and lived together in Bondi. Winston organised with our housemates a surprise picnic up on the cliffs near North Bondi Golfcourse at “our spot”. Once we arrived Winston struggled to pick the right moment (due to nerves!), however he eventually popped the question to which I said yes between tears of joy. After living in London for two years we decided the perfect place for our wedding would be on my family’s property in Western NSW. A great deal of hard work was done in preparation and it was a matter of all hands on deck from the families. It all came together in the end for the most perfect day.

The inspiration
When planning our day- we used ideas from so many different experiences & pictures. Ideas from cafes in London, ideas from my sister’s wedding & other weddings as published in magazines such as White magazine! We loved the country, vintage style which my sisters and their husbands helped to create for us. My brother in law laser cut our wooden love birds on our cake & our table numbers, whilst my sisters sewed the bunting and covers for our hay bales. My Aunty put together the flowers & we had Pimms for our guests- one of our favourite summer drinks when living in London.

Advice for other engaged couples
Make the most of all the moments, including all the details in the lead-up to the day. On the day, take each other aside during the reception, just for five minutes and look back to the event, just as the two of you and breathe it all in! It only happens once, so make the most of it!
