Lauren + Nathan

2

Being an outdoor garden wedding in spring, Lauren and Nathan’s day naturally took on a Secret Garden type vibe. This one is fresh from Issue 29, with images by Glen Edwards Photographer . Scroll down to find out more about their whimsical wedding.

THE LOOK

Lauren: My dress was Grace Loves Lace, and it was a really relaxed, comfortable, bohemian style. I bought it on the spot after four long and dusty days in a campervan at The Falls Music & Arts Festival in Byron Bay. My shoes were a beautiful pair I had in my cupboard – I’d never worn them because the buckles were too big, so I took them off and found an image of some beautiful beaded boots that I adapted and commissioned Forever Soles to do the beadwork for me.

Nathan: As it was a garden-style wedding, I didn’t want to overdo it. I wore a blue jacket with beige chinos from M.J. Bale. I paired it with a classic white Country Road shirt, light blue linen OTAA bow tie and shoes from Aquila.

TOP MEMORY

Lauren: Reading our vows to each other was unforgettable, but listening to our friends and family read aloud snippets from our love letters from over the years during our ceremony was also one of my favourite memories, or the look on my dad’s face when he first saw me in my dress. There were so many moments – I can’t pick one!

Nathan: My favourite memory by far was seeing Lauren walk down the aisle. That feeling is something that will stay with me forever! Some other favourites were reading Lauren’s card on the morning of the wedding, having all the best people I know in one place and all getting super loved up, being surprised by the longboard Lauren had custom-made for the day and the time spent at the end of the night in the silo overlooking our venue.
