Kayla + James’ glamorous Vegas wedding

1
Kayla and James celebrated their modern glam wedding at The Smith Center of Performing Arts in Las Vegas. The beautiful modern arts center can be touted as the cultural hub of the city and the architecture was inspired by the Hoover Dam’s Art Deco style. The couple chose The Smith Center because it’s not your typical Las Vegas wedding venue, not a country club and not a casino. They exchanged vows on the grand staircase in the grand lobby of Reynold’s Hall. The aisle and staircase were filled with lush florals and an abundance of floating candles. For the ceremony, Kayla and James brought in a string trio to take advantage of the acoustics at Reynold’s Hall.
The romantic ceremony was followed by cocktail hour at sunset outside in the courtyard. During appetizers and cocktails, guests kept the light blue VW photo van lively. Why wait until the reception for a photo booth? The wedding colors and stationery reflected the stunning venue with shades of grey, rose gold and silver. The bridesmaids wore different style long dresses in different shades of grey. The bride wore three different show stopping gowns. The ceremony dress designer was Pallas Couture, the cocktail hour/reception dress designer was Willowby Watters, and the third dress was for their surprise dance which was from Free People.
The couple wanted their ceremony to be short and sweet and their family friend Peter did a great job in making the ceremony personal. The ceremony started like this … “You know it has been said marriages are made in heaven and I do believe that is true. But this one started right here in Las Vegas when a mutual friend decided Kayla just had to meet James and James just had to meet Kayla.”
