Katie + Eli

Eli proposed in Bangkok at Sirocco at Lebua, a beautiful open-air restaurant that towered over the whole city. ‘The reason he chose Bangkok specifically was because it was the place where we were reunited 12 months earlier, after spending seven months apart while I was living and working in London, and he was travelling around the United States. We’ve been together since we were in high school, so it was the first time we’d ever been apart for a significant period of time and we missed each other immensely. Our airport reunion is still one of my most treasured memories – there is no better feeling than leaping into the arms of the one you love after spending so many months apart. So, Eli proposing in Bangkok a year later could not have been more perfect. It has always been such a special place to us both, but now even more so.’ And it was only fitting for this pair to marry with a reception at a Thai restaurant – a quirky alternative to your average reception, but all the more personal and meaningful for Katie and Eli. Take a look at their heartwarming wedding below, captured by Tim Coulson.
