Meet Jasmin + Adrian, a recently engaged couple who are excited for their big day ahead. Having been together for almost eight years, their wedding day will be the start of a new chapter as husband and wife - one they’re certainly looking forward to.

What have been the most exciting parts of planning your wedding?
Choosing items that reflect our personalities, whether it be the dress, suits, flowers or styling pieces has been the best part. Together with the look of excitement that our vendors have shown us when we describe what we are after.
How do you think marriage will change your relationship?
On return from our honeymoon we will finally be moving into the home that we bought a couple of years ago, so that will be a nice way to celebrate the start of our new chapter as husband and wife. Other than that, having already been together for almost eight years, I don’t think much else will change other than my surname!
What do you most look forward to about your wedding?
We are really looking forward to having all of our favourite people in one room. We have many interstate guests, so starting to see the RSVP’s roll in has definitely been a highlight, it is such a wonderful feeling knowing the lengths they are going to to join us on our big day. We hope that we can give them a party worthy of their efforts!
What are the most important things that will create a long lasting and loving marriage?
A willingness to grow with each other as your situations change. We are not the same two people that we were when we first got together at 20 years old! But we will forever strive to become better people and a stronger couple each day.
Who are the vendors that you are working with for your wedding day?
Our photographer Skye from SB Creative, our celebrant Hannah from Hannah May Weddings, and our florist Gab from Nine Blooms were all people I found through Instagram and had been following and lusting over for some time not realising that they were actually local to our area. We were recommended Hudson Films from a number of local photographers as being great to work with, and we couldn’t be happier to have them. We found vendors who are enthusiastic and have an open line of communication are the best people to have on board, and we think we have a pretty rock star team that are going to make sure our day is memorable.
Who have been your favourite wedding dress designers?
Rue de Seine, One Day Bridal, Spell, Lola Varma, Aelkemi, anything that has a little bit of edge or an unexpected ‘wow factor’
What special ways do you express your love to each other?
Our greatest expression of love is humour. We know that without doubt, if we are laughing, then all is good… And we laugh a lot!
What are your favourite ways to spend time together?
We both come from Italian families so any activities that combine us and food are our favourite ways to spend time - whether it be dining out, going for a picnic, or eating takeaway on the lounge room floor.
What’s your relationship advice for couples planning their big day?
Always remember that while it is a special day, the wedding is one day of a lifetime together, and there will be even more amazing days ahead!
What’s the best relationship advice anyone has given you?
Eat well, work hard, travel often and love deeply – the recipe for a happy relationship!
