Intimate Beach Elopement full of Modern Boho vibes – Florida Sunset Wedding

1

Everything about this intimate beach elopement drips with modern boho vibes – from the simple elegance of her gown to a wild overgrown bouquet and simple seaside vows. Hunter + Morgan’s love story began when they were 17 years old, and after all these years they stood in the setting sun on a white sand oasis in Florida and said yes to forever. Captured by Kayla Nicole Photography, we love the effortless beauty of these images. The beauty in the moments of connection and joy, of intimacy and quietness. We asked Morgan what made her decide to marry Hunter, and her answer was so moving we had to share it:

We met when we were 17 years old. We grew up together. We matured together. We shared the same morals and values together. We prayed together. We made mistakes and we learned together. Hunter has always been the calm to my storm. The realistic and rational one. For me, I always knew I needed that in a husband. I think overtime, going from kids to adults, I just knew I wanted him to be my husband and the father to our future kids.

What was your favourite part of the wedding day?

Since the moment we decided on eloping, I threw out all the traditional things that came with a big traditional wedding. Things like the bouquet toss, father and daughter dance, and our first dance. Our photographer, Kayla, asked us to be thinking about a song that we would consider “our song” at the beginning of the session. I never even gave it much thought since I knew we wouldn’t be having a first dance. We chose “Wonderful tonight” by Eric Clapton. It was dreamy. We danced in the sand dunes and cried. Soaking in that moment that we never thought we would have.  To our surprise, Kayla had taken a small video of that sweet little moment. That would definitely have to be one of the many highlights of that day.

What was your favourite detail?

If I have to choose one, it would have to be the cross on the beach we got married in front of. It is such a sweet reminder that we are keeping God at the center of the marriage and putting him before anything else. Saying our vows to each other in front of that cross, and marrying the man God made for me was such a bittersweet moment. A moment I had dreamed about since I can remember.

What is marriage to you?

To me marriage is the greatest adventure. You have someone there for the highs and the lows. It’s having someone to hold you accountable. It is having someone to challenge you to be the best version of yourself. It is having someone to laugh with. It is someone to cry with and roll with the punches when life gives you lemons.  It is trust and compassion. It is agreeing to disagree. It is teamwork. It is having that one person to love you at your lowest. It is never giving up when you feel like letting go. It is the sweetest promise two people can make each and that should never be taken lightly. So many people look at marriage as a piece of paper. But it is so much more that. It is promising to love each other when things aren’t the smoothest. Marriage is all things beautiful and fascinating and lovely. It is hands down the best thing that has ever happened to me.
