Gwendolynne’s latest Spring/Summer collection continues to draw on architectural influences from the beginning of the twentieth century, whilst referencing the tastes of the modern woman with soft ethereal silhouettes and intricate hand detailing. Her latest collection creates an effortless feminine silhouette without constricting the body with comfort and easy of movement playing an integral role in the new range. The collection is gracefully designed combining luxurious satins, chiffons and crepe de chine alongside intricately beading bodices and shoulder details. Gwendolynne’s love of architectural sources has developed further into a modern yet romantic collection heavily referencing metalwork, doors windows and other decorative treatments on magnificent buildings from all over the world. Fluid silhouettes achieved from gowns made of luscious silks contrast beading details inspired by window details inform the collection’s intricate, angular and unusual beadwork. Elements from historic doors, windows and interior details become embellishment patterns on sleek fitted gowns and recall the craftsmanship of a bygone era.
