Gemma + Leandro

2

It was the eclectic mix of cultures and traditions that made the wedding of Gemma and Leandro so beautifully unique. After a traditional ceremony at St Peters Chanel Church, friends and family tastefully added their little touches to ensure the day was filled with endless love and heartfelt surprises. Close friend and Photographer, Damien Milan captured their glorious first moments as husband and wife before surprising them with an intimate ferry ride over to Cockatoo Island to further capture the love of Gemma and Leandro that had now been bound.

“One of our guests surprised us with rice throwing, which is big in Brazil. The bomboniere included five sugar-coated almonds as per the Italian tradition (my father’s background), but also numbered & signed prints portraying the view, handmade by my mother who is an artist. And the bridal car was my brother’s prized Soarer, which might become a new classic! A standout was when Nastia and Damien, some of our dearest friends and incidentally our photographers too, surprised us with a visit to Cockatoo Island to take some photos. Those quiet moments in familiar yet spectacular surrounds on the harbour were so special.”
