Tess + Tom: Family Farm Wedding

3

Tess and Tom were married twelve years after they met at Tess’ school formal when she was sixteen. The two knew pretty early on that they would be the ones for each other. “Tom finds the fun in life and makes me laugh. He has a good heart, he is honest and has a beautiful smile.”

A marriage celebration that was minimalist, relaxed and natural was what the two were after. They decided to get married on their family farm in Monkerai, which proved to be a the perfect setting to match their chill (yet stunning) wedding ideas. “Most boys sported chinos and RM Williams boots so it looked very much like a country race.”

When we asked Tom what his favourite part of the wedding was, he talked about their short ceremony under a large tree, surrounded by water, the ducks and most importantly their friends and family. After their tying of the knot, they led their guests around to the other side of the garden. “Waiting for us was a tractor bucket full of drinks, and canapés and the Karuah River.”

When we asked Tess what her favourite part of the wedding was, we laughed with her response: “Tom crashing the wedding band and busting out tunes & crowd surfing. I think the band were pleasantly surprised that Tom can actually sing.” These guys obviously made the most of their wedding which we love!
