Emily & Nick – A Garden Wonderland

“Love shown, promises declared, laughter that made out tummies hurt and faith to believe, these are a few beautiful words that I can say about Nick and my wedding day. 6 months in, and still every day since I have been wishing that I could do it all again. It was the day that my heart smiled excessively and the day I got to be girl in the white gown.

To imagine my wedding, you could picture a garden wonderland. My husband and I were married in the gorgeous ‘Breenhold Gardens’ in Mt Wilson, approx 2 hrs drive west of Sydney. You wouldn’t know of this 25 acre garden from the main road, it was such a fairy tale place. We were married in the midst of such beauty. Everything was in bloom and was so magical for photos! From the tall long oaks (which you will see in the ‘Great Gatsby’ movie as they filmed in this location!!) to a field of daises. It was all so dreamy!!

The reception for me is what I always remember most about a wedding. I wanted our guests to walk away from an experience of fine dining, laughter and the best memories. We had a beautiful white marquee for guests of 100. There were two things that had to be evident in this marquee, Greek and Orange! Let me explain! My husband’s side of the family is Greek (which I looove!) and I wanted to incorporate this, without having the ‘Big fat Greek wedding!! My husband and I are big foodies so this was key, so Greek food was on the menu! The Greek’s sure no how to eat as we could have invited another 100 guest’s for the portions!!

We saw the sun go down as we dined, laughed and cried through speeches and had my heart so warmed by my husband’s speech to me. I couldn’t be more in love!!

Nick and I we drove away from the night of the wedding and couldn’t be more happy, or more in love. Our day was everything that we had wanted, and after dating for 5 and half years it was so worth waiting for this special perfect day!”
