This whole shoot is bohemian luxury at it’s finest. With Moroccan influences and moody tones, this is sure to spark inspiration for all the boho brides out there. The shoot was sparked by a desire to show couples that the traditional format of a “wedding” is something that can be turned on its head and still feel beautiful and elegant. Can you imagine a full wedding weekend at Ininn with every room occupied by a loved one? Stay a few nights, spend your days with everyone by the pool, and spend your nights celebrating the start to a new chapter in your life. I love the idea of a two night adventure in this little private escape. As a stylist, I find a lot of inspiration in the spaces in which I work. Having the opportunity to shoot at Ininn for this really created the entire jumping point for the rest of the story and style behind the look.
The Green Door is an eclectic space with a sort of boho, Moroccan vibe. I pulled our color palette from the moody blues, greens, and browns in the property and I knew immediately that we wanted to do something special with the big green door at the entrance to the property. The rings we chose from Bario Neal were simple and stunning. I love the idea of using stackable rings that you can add to as the years roll by. I knew from the get-go that I wanted a floral suit for our groom. I think grooms often choose a more simple look so they don’t overshadow their bride but I firmly believe that everyone can be dressed to the nine’s without stepping on each other’s toes. The bride’s gown was such an incredible find and I think the gold floral detail there really carries its weight next to the groom’s jacket. As the night wears on, I loved the change of gown to a more minimal look. The flowers played on the moody colors from around the property and the ribbon perfectly tied in the groom’s blush pants to the bride’s look.
Rather that creating an all-out “reception” we set a dreamy table for our bride and groom while creating lounge areas for the rest of the guests. I imagine a casual menu meant to be grazed on instead of the standard plated fare. This space is so perfect for creating community and I wanted every part of the day to exude that family feel. Almost like a summer camp where people arrive as friends and leave with a lifelong bond.
On the vendor side, we had such a blast creating this shoot. We all road tripped out from Phoenix, where we are based, and spent the day marveling at all of the thoughtful design details incorporated throughout the venue. Everyone was so amazing in trusting my vision and bringing their perspective to the table. I love to bring a group of talented people together, unite everyone with a concept, and let them contribute their expertise. I honestly think the best part of the shoot was the incredible time we had creating it. It’s so fun getting to watch your idea come to life and it’s something I never get tired of.
