Chloe + Jason

Jase and I had spent the past 18 months building our dream home up in the hinterland of the Gold Coast. Like any build, it took many hours and countless weekends painting and sanding. We had a two-week trip booked to Bali for our best friend’s wedding, and I had to work late the night before we were due to fly and had planned to go home and pack. It was a lovely surprise walking in the door to a cooked dinner. Jase suggested we have a bath before getting organised for the trip, and right there, in the bathtub, he asked me to marry him. It was so special and intimate!

THE LOOK
Chloe:
Our head-to-toe wedding day looks were timeless and classic. I wore a beautiful custom-designed gown by Casey Tanswell, and borrowed a pair of nude heels from my best friend. I loved how simple and comfortable I felt. I’m not very big on over-the-top fashion pieces so my wedding dress felt very me. Jason: The boys and I kept it simple in navy chinos, black Oxfords and classic white shirts all from Country Road. I wore a Witchery shirt with tux-inspired bib detailing and a bow tie, whereas the guys all wore cotton-ribbed ties. We wanted to be casual but classic – I think we pulled it off!

SUMMER DETAILS
Chloe: We got married on the beautiful yet hot island of Bali so we had a lot of summer vibes happening. My main brief to our wedding planner was keep it classic,
but being that we were in Bali it only felt right to utilise lots of tropical palms which are grown in abundance over there! She made this incredible 3 x 3m greenery wall for our ceremony. It consisted mainly of palm leaves and ferns. We kept the styling really light, tropical and classic. Jason: We set up some refreshments for guests on arrival, such as ice cold face cloths, lemon and lime popsicles and fresh coconuts.
