A relaxed, untraditional ceremony among the olive groves. This simple Seville wedding is full of the most gorgeous inspiration. Tell us about the proposal. Jonny proposed while on holiday in the British Virgin Islands (which a year later became our home). We were visiting a small island called Anegada, staying in a luxury tent on the beachfront. Our day was spent drinking rum and relaxing beneath the palm trees. In the evening while sitting on the veranda watching the sunset, he popped the question. It was totally unexpected, an incredible surprise!
How did you know your partner was the one? We moved in together after a long distance relationship of 5 years, and it was then we realized that we were able to spend longer than a weekend together with no arguments!
What do you love most about your partner?
Beth: His sense of humor. He always knows how to make me laugh even when I’m trying to be angry at him.

What were your first thoughts when you saw your partner on your wedding day?
Beth: He must be hot in that jacket!
Jonny: Pwoar!!!
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day? The sheer joy of having all of the people we loved in the same place at the same time. We had been living in the Caribbean and hadn’t seen the majority of our guests for over a year. It was an incredible reunion.
How would you describe your overall wedding theme? Relaxed with an elegant simplicity.
Did you follow all of the usual wedding traditions on the day, or did you create your own? We had a none religious ceremony amongst olive trees with our guests sitting on hay bales. We decided not to have a wedding cake (Jonny was on a diet)- JOKE!
Any advice for future couples getting married? Don’t let other peoples opinions sway you into changing what you both want from your day. Be selfish, you only (hopefully) get to do it once, make it special and personal to you both.
