Ben Yew Photography: Jacqui + Reece

When Jacqui and Reece were travelling around America, she was expecting a movie-like proposal on top of the Empire State Building or the Grand Canyon. But she came home ‘ring-less’ (or at least she thought so). Little did she know that Reece had bought an engagement ring in New York but the Big Apple lacked the spark he wanted for his proposal.

A few months later, sitting at the top of a cliff at Windy Harbour, Reece bent down on one knee and popped the question. Is it any wonder that nature’s serenity was where Reece felt the strongest connection? They spent the evening sipping champagne and watching the sunset together. In such tranquillity with no phone reception, they kept their engagement a secret for three days, making it all the more exciting when they did spread the news.

Ditching tradition, Jacqui felt it only right to gift her bouquet to Reece’s grandparents, who just celebrated their 60th anniversary, as a token of how they hope to achieve this milestone in marriage. Take a look at their ever-so-sweet wedding below, captured by Ben Yew Photography.
