Tell us about your proposal. We were in India (travel is a very important thing for us!) and one day, a very hot August one, in the beautiful hidden garden behind the Taj Mahal, he knelt in front of me and asked trembling to marry him! He gave me the most particular and beautiful ring I’ve ever seen, a raw and precius diamond. I only remember the amazement and infinite joy that made my heart literally burst, and a “yes” whispered between tears of joy.

How did you know your partner was the one? When I started traveling around the world with him I realized that it was only by his side that I wanted to discover every corner … My curiosity met his way of making me feel safe anytime, anywhere, his way of photographing people, looks, details or panoramas, always able to evoke sensations.

What do you love most about your partner? Determination, intelligence and subtle irony have won me over; his little surprises every day, from a small card hidden in a pocket, to the hazelnuts removed from the chocolate bar!

What was your favourite part of the wedding day? The exchange of our vows during the ceremony! In front of the people that we really care about, we have laid bare our hearts, telling the best possible emotions and feelings guarded by so many years in our depths, and promising each other’s love for the future. It was a very deep moment and I’ll never forget all the emotions felt. The entire ceremony was one of my favourite moment, set in the little courtyard of the Villa in a very romantic way: our florists made a beautiful suspended structure over our heads, soemthing like a flowers curtain. The light was so gentle under this and it was like a dream.

Describe your wedding theme/style. We deliberately avoided themes of inspiration for our wedding, choosing instead a delicate, elegant, slightly retro and decadent atmosphere. We wanted a relaxed day for everyone, elegant and refined in every little details, without ever being pretentious and flashy.

All the professionals involved in the wedding loved this choice and gave their best to fit this style with their works, choosing objects, flowers and decorations that make it perfectly. English roses, brass and ground crystals decorated our imperial tables and all the rooms of the Sixteenth century Villa.

What is marriage to you? Marriage for me is a journey… One of those long, on the other side of the world, with many stages: you can not know exactly how it will go, you have an itinerary in mind, but you already know that there will be detours, a few snags, or maybe something beautiful and unexpected that will stop you more than expected. You do not know what to expect, but you know it will change your life and you know you have the right person next to face anything. The nice thing is that unlike a trip, it lasts a lifetime.
