A Serene South Coast Wedding: Nick + Ela 0

Nick + Ela created a wedding that was very personalised to them. From tee pee tents to cheese and fudge platters, every aspect of their beautiful day was included because they wanted it, not because of tradition or expectation. Instead of having their celebrant perform the whole ceremony, Nick + Ela had a brother from each side marry them (with the celebrant saying only the few lines needed to make it legal). In the morning, the couple snuck off and took a dip in the ocean before setting up for the wedding with the help of family and friends.

With relaxed, boho vibes and a family-feel, this fun, outdoor wedding is the perfect inspiration for any South Coast NSW bride!

Tell us about your proposal.

In our own home and playing UNO, my husband hid the ring inside the deck and had written “Will You Be My Wife?” across the five cards he had dealt me.

What do you love most about your partner?

The genuine friendship. The enjoyment and comfort that being in each other’s company brings. We are different people who are on the same page.

What were your first thoughts when you saw your partner on your wedding day?

How do we slow this down? An incredible feeling of emotion.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?

Surprise fireworks organised by the groom! And living every unique idea we had wanted for our own wedding day.

How would you describe your wedding theme?

Very Nick and Ela. A dinner party of ours on a much bigger scale. Amazing food, great drinks, fun tunes and the best company!

Any advice for future couples getting married?

Love is not enough! You need friendship, respect and tolerance in strong measures.
