A Fine Art Dream in York

5

Inspired by the stately architecture and heritage of the beautiful Laurelville Manor in York, we wanted to create a shoot with soft and dreamy Fine Art elements that felt timeless, elegant and effortlessly romantic.

Graceful and feminine, with an air of simple sophistication about her, we pictured a bride with soft and natural makeup that highlights her rosy glow and her hair swept into a side bun with loose curls. Her bouquet was full and voluminous with overflowing greenery and large white blooms, mimicking the lush surrounding gardens.

Soft shades of whites, creams and ivory with hints of blue and lush greens made up the hues of this shoot, keeping the palette neutral, clean and minimal. Stationery was elegant and classy with clean and modern textures meeting classical handwritten script, accented by hand-drawn illustration. To keep with the stately and dignified form of the Manor, the tablescape was also kept formal and classy with silverware paired with cut crystal glassware and ivory linens.

Reminiscent of Edwardian elegance, yet with a touch of the Australian outback, the Manor and its gardens were perfect for the bride who wanted something different from the usual Perth beaches and rugged terrains. Here she finds something much more refined, with a touch of old-world romance, like a dream of another time and place.
