1 gown 2 ways

Welcome to the newest constant on the blog lovelies. Yes, it’s the latest in delicious exposes and triumphant partnerships between lucky us, and Jen Gifford and The Bride’s Market team. We guarantee you’ll be hanging out for the next installment after you clap eyes on what we have for you today. To figuratively christen this wonderous ship with a bottle of champers we have a darling pair,  Alyce and Collette of Alyce & Collette, spill their rather elating experience of popping into The Brides’ Market to snap a simply charming concept of wearing and styling one dress two ways. If this doesn’t inspire you to think  laterally when it comes to bridal gowns then we really don’t know what will.

“Any excuse to pop in to what we call ‘wedding wonderland’, (The Bride’s Market), is a welcome one (seriously, there’s Snickers cheesecake at the cafe next door you guys!). But the opportunity to play dressups in store was one we could not refuse! Jen summoned her first dream team to work with and together we set about styling the amazingly-beautiful Kayla from Dallys. The concept of “One Gown, Two Ways” is to create two different looks with the same gown. We were totally blown away by the dual personalities given to the knockout Suzanne Neville ‘Paradisea’ gown with just a few changes in styling.

“The first look is summed up by beautiful pastel tones and a statement floral headpiece by Shut the Front Door. The flower arrangements by Poppies For Willow, were chosen to match the headpiece and the overall look suggested a fun-loving, easy-going bride who would feel just at home barefoot on the sand as she would in a beautiful country setting. The second was dubbed the 1930s look which is all about refined elegance—from the stunning birdcage veil by Christie Millinery and pearl jewellery by Not Just Jewels to the amazingly intricate upstyle. We could see urban brides loving this look as much as country brides. Hair and make up for both looks was done by the lovely people at The Powder Room. It was such a pleasure to spend the day with this talented team and to see what magic we could create in collaboration with other amazing vendors.”
